1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, location (parish), and payment details. For Professionals, we also collect business credentials and verification documents.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the platform, match homeowners with professionals, process payments, verify credentials, and improve our services. We may also send you service-related communications and updates.
3. Data Sharing
We share necessary information between homeowners and professionals to facilitate service delivery. Payment processing is handled through Stripe. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. AI Features and Your Photos
When you use the cost estimator, the renovation visualiser or the quote comparison, what you upload and the words you write are sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the result. Nothing else about your account goes with them: not your name, your email, your address, or your booking history. Google states that on the paid tier we use, your prompts and files are not used to improve their products, and that it logs them for a limited period only to detect abuse of its service. On our side, uploaded photos and documents are deleted after 30 days, and the text of a result after 90 days unless you save it. The quote comparison is different from the other two in one way worth stating plainly: the document you upload was usually written by somebody else. Only upload a quote or an invoice you were given and are free to share, expect the pro's name and contact details to be inside it, and do not upload photos of people or anything else you do not have the right to share. If you share a comparison by link, we remove contractor names, email addresses and phone numbers from it first, though we cannot promise to catch a contact detail written out in words. You are asked to accept these terms before your first use of any of these features, and we keep a record of that acceptance.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits.
